Welcome to the 2023 New Year!
I have been recharged. Returning to work super refreshed by hibernation with the addition of a social media blackout.
I accept that I’m not like everyone else. I spend great parts of the Christmas, New Year holiday season unplugged. Tech life still requires daily usage but I kept it to a bare minimum.
For example, I updated a device and deliberately didn’t install any social media apps. I used it to play games. I read books. But didn’t want to install anything too work like for the first weeks I owned it.
I finished my first ever crochet project. A carry bag for my phone when I don’t have pockets. Also gave myself sapphire nails inspired by my ring. See photo below.

Then created my second crochet bag in another colour, as I looked over some of the things I achieved over 2022.
Although it was hard in many ways. I experienced the third once in a lifetime wild weather event. In my backyard in 14 months. The impact of the second and third would have been less if the roof and gutter repairs were completed.
I toasted my first full year with recurring clients in over a decade. I’m still working very part time from the kitchen table while I wait for building repairs. But I didn’t need to stop working my business to take care of major life and health events in my family. (Although I’m also extremely grateful to have that luxury. Where I’ve been able to put the brakes on my business to prioritise elsewhere in the past).
Digital Marketing Agency
The first client of the year, for my Publicity & Promotion Packages went from un-found to ranking in Google Maps 3-pack & booked solid within 4 months.
As well as appearing in the top 10 search results for hundreds of terms to greatly improve their online visibility.
I created & launched a client website with a 4 page sales funnel. Integrated with the relevant apps to sell drip fed membership site access for a six week course.
As always I’ve remained committed to studying, learning about Digital Marketing, and business studies. During 2022, I included attending online networking opportunities, and I joined an accountability group.
I’ve connected with wonderful, amazing women. Who are authors, counsellors, coaches, and entrepreneurs. We are collaborating our unique strengths to help make the world a better place.
I’m looking forward to 2023 with the strategic alliances and transformational teams I am creating for this new year.

P.S. It took me 3 hours to get back into my social media accounts. Installing apps, verifying my identity on new device.
During this time a wild bird visited me. Not sure if it is a female or a juvenile blackbird. But I will take it as a synchronous sign of new beginnings for my 2023 new year of business.
